2010 Mitsubishi Galant

Mitsubishi has changed up the styling for this model. They looked really boxy with really rigid body lines. Yes, the newer styling has kept the rigid lines but soften them up. Also, I think that Mitsubishi is finally stepping up to the performance factor in the everyday driver that the Average Joe can afford -MPG is 21 miles per gallon in town and 30 miles per gallon depending on weather and you driving habits- and have fun. Engine wise you are looking at a 2.4 liter 16 valve SOHC (Single Over Head Cam). The base of the engine is a cast iron block and with aluminum cylinder heads. Horsepower has been upped to. You are currently looking at 160HP at 5,500RPM (Rotations Per Minute) with 157ft/lb of torque at 4,000RPM's. The current red-line is 6,500RPM. Transmission wise you are looking at an automatic Sportronic. Now for the best part the audio system. With ES you get a 140-watt AM/FM/CD/MP3 with 6 speakers. Now for the best and most options you would want to choose the SE. With the SE package you get a 650-watt(max) Rockford Acoustic with AM/FM radio, and a 6 disk CD changer, and a MP3 attachment, a SIRIUS satellite radio 3month prepaid purchase when you buy your own galant. Also you get a LCD touch screen with a full map DVD navigation system. Best of all to decrease distracted driving their is the hands free bluetooth phone system.

2011 Toyota Supra Concept

In 2002 Toyota Supra fanatics were decimated, and broken when they found out that Toyota was going to end production of the Supra. Toyota is bring this great time vehicle back from the grave. The biggest surprise of them all is that it is going to be a performance hybrid. People thought that the day that the Supra became a hybrid would be the day that the underworld would freeze over. This beauty will be returning with a 3.6V6, with a electric drive train. In other words the motor will work like a Prius. Once you hit a speed higher than the electric can perform to. Then the V6 would take over to placate the drivers needs until they see a law enforcer. Many people think that the Supra looks ugly, but not me. I think it looks sick with all of the rigid body lines. I haven't seen a rigid futuristic sports car look so promising for production. I would personally roll in one of these.

The Toyota FT-86 Concept

This new concept car from Toyota and Subaru named the FT-86 is one of the first current cars from Toyota that is a RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) model. Personally, I think that the new Ft-86 is a one off of the 1986 AE-86 Toyota Corrola. But, in the states were are looking at a base price just shy of $32,000. The current set production year for the FT-86 is set for 2012. The exterior is absolutely amazing. The body lines are some of the smoothest lines that I've seen from a Toyota. Now the interior has a exception peice that no other car like it has. Instead of having the plastic door pockets Toyota has created a "zipper pocket" like show hear.

Toyota has also worked with Playstation on the interior for the FT-86. Their main emphasis was on the dashboard. With how the speedometer, rpm gauge, and other gauges are set up and configured. As shown here.

I am really excited for this car to come out into production. Mainly because there is nothing fancy about the gear shift or hand brake. This was decided by Toyota for the street person. So that you can still go drifting, but it still be a daily driver.

Nissan's 2010 Juke

                  Specs
  • Engine:
    • 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG™) DOHC 16-valve turbocharged 4-cylinder engine
    • Horsepower – 188 hp @ 5,600 rpm
    • Torque – 177 lb-ft @ 2,000 – 5,200 rpm
  • Drivetrain
    • Front-Wheel Drive (FWD)
    • 6-speed manual transmission (FWD only)
  • Curb Weight
    • About 3,000lbs
  • Suspension/ Steering
    • Front: Independent strut suspension
    • Rear: Torsion beam suspension (FWD only)
    • Rear: Multi-link independent suspension (AWD only)
    • Front and rear stabilizer bars
    • Vehicle-speed-sensitive electric power steering

Nissan has totally redun the Juke. They even put a turbo on it. Personally I think it looks pretty fly. Also, this is one of the first cross overs by Nissan to have a turbo. Also, Nissan has jumped through some big hoops so that the 2010 Juke could come to the states including hoops like emissions, and many others. But, Nissan is one of the many imports that continues to turn heads even after they jump through the hoops that the U.S. makes them go through. Also, any nissan cross over like the Juke could beat any cross over produced in the U.S.

Asanti wheel designer

I found this wheel designer in a 0-60 magazine. I think that it is pretty good if not great. You get all kinds of choices from different rims, colors, and you get to choose so many choices on different areas of the rim. Go to www.asantiwheels.com then choose the custom wheel designer on the front page, then choose the rim that you want to customize and have fun. After you have had your fun making and designing your wheel you can register into the asanti data base they will give you a quote on your wheel. Or, if your bored go there just to see the possibilities.

WHAT IS LOTUS THINKING!!!

Lotus has produce a heavier vehicle. This cars name is the Evora.
                            Specs
  • Price: $73,500
  • Power: 276hp/ 252lb.-ft
  • Engine: 3.5l naturally aspirated V6
  • Drivetrain: Rear-wheel drive , 6-speed manual
  • 0-60: 4.9 seconds
  • Top Speed: 160mph
  • Weight: 2,976
  • Power to weight: 10.78 lbs./hp

What is Lotus thinking I mean in the Elise you could shave a tenth of a second off you quarter mile time by going commando. Ok that's not true but you understand what I mean. Small compact cars made out of plastic that would turn into this if it met a tree.

The exterior of the Evora looks like an extended two passenger version of the Exige. But, why would Lotus want to go up against manufactures like: Jaguar, Bentley, and Aston Martin. Many people would call that suicide. But, Lotus has done many things that a normal sane person would not even think of.

Lamborghini's New Release

Lamborghini's new release is called the LP 570-4 Superleggera.

The latest edition to Lamborghini is the Superleggera "super light". This Lamborghini's curb weight or 3,240lbs is similar to the Volkswagen GTI. Thanks to carbon fiber parts and pieces including: under trays, air diffuser and optional big wing to the rear of the car; which adds downforce. This is no daily driver it belongs on the track.

Flash Back 1983-1987 Toyota Corolla AE-86 GT-S

  •      Specs:
    • Price: $10,599
    • Power: 112 Horse Power, 97 ft/lbs of torque
    • Drivetrain: RWD, 5 speed manual
    • 0-60: 8.5 Seconds
    • Top Speed: 153mph
    • Weight: 2,200lbs
    • Power to Weight: 19.6lbs/HP
    • Redline: 7,700RPM
    • Braking: 9.2 in front, 9.1 in rear
The AE-86 was first introduced to the states in 1983. There were two versions to hit showroom floors. The SR5 and the GT-S. The SR5 had the basic trim options, 85HP (horsepower) from a single cam 1.6 liter engine.

Then there was the GT-S. The GT-S had a performance gear option, with a limited-slip differetial, 5 speed manual, with a twin cam inline 4 engine. The AE-86 had a very small chance of staying bone stock. Most modders removed Toyota TVIS ( Toyota Variable Iduction System ) for their own choice of throttle bodies. Also, they went for internal strengthening such as shorter stroke crak, Titanium connecting rods ad pneumatic valve springs. Some people even went as far as swapping the engine for the then current MR2 engine. Why do that when with the small engine mods done the GT-S you could easily get 15,000 RPM's out of the AE-86.
